Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission has been set up in Chhattisgarh to advise the government on all matters related to appointments in the civil service and civil service. The Commission has been established on 23 May 2001 under the Government of Chhattisgarh under Article 315 of the Constitution of India .
The office of Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission is located near Bhagat Singh Chau in Shankar Nagar, Raipur .
The following tasks have been prescribed for the Commission by the Constitution of India :
1. Conduct examination for appointments in state services.
2. Consultation to the state government on the following topics: –
(A) On all subjects related to the methods of recruitment in civil services and for civil posts.
(B) On the principles to be followed in appointing civil services and posts and in promotion and transfer from one service to another, and on the suitability of candidates for appointment, promotion or transfer.
(C) A person who is serving in the civil capacity of the Government of India or the Government of a State, having effect, on all disciplinary matters, including representations or petitions relating to such subjects.
(D) on any claim for award of pension in respect of any loss caused to a person by or in relation to a Government of India or the Government of a State or while serving in a civil capacity and the amount of such award. On a thematic question.
